What you get

Why use Mergevanta to PDF to Word

Genuinely editable output

The result is a normal .docx with real paragraphs and tables, not a picture of a page — type, restyle and re-flow it in Word, Pages or Google Docs.

Layout kept intact

Fonts, sizes, bold and italic, colours, alignment, page margins and headers are rebuilt so the document looks like the PDF you started with.

Tables and images included

Tables become editable Word tables, merged cells included, and pictures are placed back in position at full quality.

Nothing is kept

Your PDF is converted in memory and the Word file is sent straight back to your browser. Nothing is stored or logged.

FAQ

PDF to Word questions

Yes. Tables become real Word tables you can edit, including merged cells, borders and shading, and images are placed back where they appeared on the page.

Very close. Fonts, sizes, colours, alignment, spacing, margins and page breaks are carried over. Very complex layouts — overlapping text boxes or unusual columns — may need a small touch-up.

Scanned pages are just pictures of text, so they come through as images rather than editable words. Run OCR on the PDF first if you need to edit scanned text.

PDFs that only restrict printing or copying convert fine. PDFs that need a password to open must be unlocked first.

There is no page limit. Files up to about 4 MB are converted on our server; larger files fall back to a basic text-only conversion in your browser.
